Anyone who had contact with the camp over the last 20 years has had contact with Susan, her straightforwardness and her humor. Over and above her job, Susan spent many hours at the camp as an uncompensated volunteer. She took pride that folks were pleased and that numerous events happening simultaneously were operating smoothly. Susan will be sorely missed and often remembered.

When Susan started the chemotherapy program and she started losing hair, Spencer and James shaved their heads. Susan was loved.
Susan and the Boyett sisters (Emily and Kerry) were active fans of the Kruger Brothers bluegrass music. Two days before she died the Krueger Brothers had plane tickets to Oklahoma City intending to fill Susan's house with bluegrass music. Weather closed the airport but Susan was loved.
The camp staff volunteered to build her memorial in the pictures above. Susan was loved.
When you go to the memorial and sit on the bench listen carefully for some Kruger bluegrass music in the distance. …webmaster
